Mountain Meadow

It was a glorious August day in 2009.  Circumnavigating Glacier Peak on a high route brought us to this alpine meadow.  A brief respite from the snows that blanket the mountain ten or more months each year allows mountain heather and a bounty of wildflowers a moment to bloom and prosper.  The clouds in the background soon descended and we hiked in the rain for the duration of our trip.
