Above the Fog
An early morning in August 2010 reveals Glacier Peak floating on a sea of fog. The Suiattle River provides a ready source of moisture and the impetus for the clouds that frequently form in its valley over night. Image Lake and Glacier Peak appear immune and disdainful of what happens below them. Alpine firs, pasque flowers, heathers, and their lesser known cousins stand tall while taking in the view.
